HistoryMy pool was built when my children were in high school and middle school. i had been teaching anywhere I could find a pool. It was frustrating to know that this county did not have any public pools in which one could learn how to be safe around the water. It was especially hard trying to teach lifeguarding unless you had a deep enough pool. When we built my pool we made sure to meet requirements to teach the higher swim levels.We also used young teens as certified helpers so that the younger children had a friend to help along with the instructor. This achieved several goals. One thing was to make sure young students were always with a competent swimmer and also to encourage the helper to continue their skills and hopefully become guards and instructors later in their lives. We had many who went into education, babysat, coached.etc. Now that our county has a wonderful facility we can spend a lot of good teaching time helping adults, special needs, and frightened students.SpecialtiesWe are dedicated Red Cross Water Safety Instructors with more than 30 years of instructing students of all ages to be safe around Water. We make an effort to help each student reach his/her goals in a fun and safe environment.
