The City Hall hosts a variety of community functions and programs. In addition, the hall houses the offices of several departments. It is a part of the government of the City of Locust Grove in Georgia, which spreads across an area of more than 10 square miles. Incorporated in 1893, the city has a population of over 5,200 people. It operates a public works department that is responsible for managing water and sewage activities and facilities. The department offers trash pickup and recycling services, as well as maintains a solid waste collection site. The City of Locust Grove also has various libraries.
