LaBelle Elementary School is a K-5 school south of Marietta that educates about 450 students. The school was built in 1955 and was last renovated in 2006 to update the building for space and technology needs. The school implemented the America's Choice initiative in 2002 to unify the staff and provide access to new strategies to improve scores in reading and math. As a result, the school attained Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) last year. The students, faculty and community embrace their mascot, the LaBelle Lion, and use it as an inspiration for high achievement and positive behavior. Lisa Hogan serves as principal for this Cobb County school.
