Nestled in a unique campus-like community setting, East Cobb Senior Center is adjacent to Mt. View Library, The Art Place, Mt. View Community Center and the Aquatic Center. The lodge-like 19,000 square foot facility is approximately 1/2 mile South of the intersection of Shallowford and Sandy Plains Roads, providing convenient and easy access. The Center's special features include a dance floor, regulation billiards tables; a ventilated art room; computer room; classroom; two multipurpose rooms; a library and Grand Hall. The Center provides an array of social, recreational an educational programs for active seniors over 55. Mini seminars and classes are offered quarterly. Activities, including senior club meetings, are ongoing daily. Special events are offered monthly, such as day trips, Center anniversaries, dances and social activities. Senior Services transportation is not provided, but adequate parking space is available.
