Gwinnett County Government is the governing body for Gwinnett County in Georgia. Its board, under the operation of a chairman, sets direction and formulates policies for the county government, adopts the budget, authorizes expenditures, and approves or disapproves specific actions, such as rezoning of private property. The county government also has sheriff, solicitor, support services, tax assessor and commissioner, transportation, and water resources departments.
