Founded in 1954, The Fund for Theological Education is one of the leading ecumenical advocates for excellence and diversity in Christian ministry and theological scholarship in the United States. It provides fellowships and support to help gifted young people. The organization also helps congregations and denominations for ministry and teaching purposes. The Fund for Theological Education s staff includes clergy, educators and philanthropists. Additionally, the organization, also known as FTE, offers several fellowships for African-American doctoral and dissertation students, racial and ethnic doctoral students and college sophomores and juniors, as well as seminary students. The Fund for Theological Education is located in Atlanta.
