Forsyth County Senior Services is a government organization designed for senior citizens ages 50 and older. It is a key informational resource center for seniors and their caregivers, offering a multitude of programs for seniors.
Seniors participate in age-appropriate activities including table games, exercises, attending resource sessions, arts and crafts, and volunteer in hospitals and local schools. A hot meal is served and a home delivery service is available for those living at home.
Forsyth County Senior Services partners with the local sheriff's office, police department and fire department to assist seniors with programs, including The Guardian System, Vial of Life, and SALT meetings.
Two centers are open offering a variety of services to assist with the needs of seniors; The Hearthstone Lodge for seniors ages 50 and older and Charles Place for seniors ages 60 and older.
Volunteers are always needed to assist each center. Call to find out what opportunities are available.
