The Forsyth County Public Library was established by the Works Progress Administration in 1938. It offers a range of brochures and bookmarks for children and adults. The library provides a collection of autobiographies and books related to facts and fictions. It also offers picture books for students in kindergarten through grade three. The Forsyth County Public Library maintains public meeting rooms that organize civic, cultural and educational activities and can accommodate up to 90 people. It also manages the North Georgia Community Foundation, which is a public, charitable organization that administers funds for the library. The library works in partnership with the Forsyth County Friends of the Library, EnvisionWare, and Cumming Garden Club. It additionally offers online dictionaries, directories, newspapers, magazines, journal articles, and consumer and business resources. The Forsyth County Public Library manages more than 240,000 library materials and administers over 390 scheduled youth programs.
