History
Founded in 1963, the Creative Arts Guild is the oldest community arts organization in Georgia and the only multidisciplinary facility in Northwest Georgia. The purpose of the Creative Arts Guild is to build and maintain an environment supportive of the arts in Northwest Georgia through education and promotion; to create new audiences for the arts; to develop intra-community relations and to support artists and provide our residents with the opportunity for creative and cultural experiences. For nearly five decades, the staff and volunteers of the Guild have promoted excellence in the arts through school, community and Guild-based activities. The Creative Arts Guild provides arts experiences and services in all disciplines for the five-county Northwest Georgia region (Whitfield, Murray, Catoosa, Dade and Walker).
