Established in 1958, Columbus State University offers a student-centered environment and undergraduate, graduate and one-year certificate programs. It serves more than 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students annually. The university works with a team of over 260 full-time staff members. Columbus State University offers nearly 50 undergraduate and approximately 35 graduate degree programs. The university offers courses in applied science, music, fine arts, and public and business administration. It maintains the Center for Commerce and Technology, which features 1,500 computers. Columbus State University has a Library that maintains a stock of more than 400,000 books. The university is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is a member of the University System of Georgia.
