This family-owned shoe repair shop caters to a clientele—almost exclusively male—that still believes in acquiring shoes of high quality and high cost. Clairmont Shoe Repair's business is based on the patronage of repeat customers. The shop is small and has a "hidden gem" feel to it. Besides repairing shoes, the shop sells usual shoe care products as polish, laces, shoe horns and deodorizers. It also sells less common items such as men's leather billfolds and replacement leather handles for briefcases. Repaired shoes that are not picked up after 60 days are sold in the shop as refurbished, previously-owned footwear.
