This organization, dating back to 1898, was founded due to a need for veterans to secure their rights, benefits and band together, thus forming The Veterans of Foreign War. Post 9143 is located on Dahalonega Highway, just off the square in Cumming. The VFW supports our troops, community, schools and youth through various services. It hosts Bingo on Tuesdays at 7:30pm and Saturdays at 7:00pm. Annual holiday events include a turkey shoot, holiday gift baskets and a Christmas party for children. This VFW also hosts Boy Scout Troop #39.
