Located among towering trees in Chastain Park, the Arts Center offers a range of classes for students of all ages. The facility features an art gallery and gift shop where faculty and student works are available for purchase. Classes include art appreciation, drawing, jewelry-making, painting, photography, pottery, printmaking, weaving and woodcarving. The Arts Center is housed in a Neoclassical Revival building completed in 1911 and designed by noted architect Thomas Henry Morgan. For many years, the building served as the alms house for Fulton County's poor.
