Calhoun Times is one of the oldest biweekly newspapers in Georgia. The newspaper is distributed on Wednesdays and Saturdays with circulation exceeding 9,000. The first issue of the Colhoun Times was distributed in 1870 and has since been continuously published. The founder and first editor of the Calhoun Times was Elam Christian. J. Roy McGinty has also edited and published the Calhoun Times for more than 50 years. The current editor, Mitch Talley, has worked at the Calhoun Times for more than 24 years. The newspaper features sections, including business and economics, sports, entertainment, classifieds, and local news. It also features special sections on a variety of topics, such as spring home improvement, football pages, and basketball preview. Colhoun Times provides its readers with online subscription.
