Dr. Bearden received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Georgia and his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Shands Teaching Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Fl. Dr. Bearden is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. His areas of interest are hip, knee and shoulder arthroplasty, outpatient joint replacement, hand surgery, fracture repair, trauma surgery, and sports medicine. He is trained in endoscopic carpal tunnel release, Oxford unicompartmental knee replacement, and direct anterior hip replacement.
