New American cuisine is the style at Bocado, and the restaurant's menu is always changing. Executive chef Todd Ginsberg, formerly of Trois, runs the kitchen here and keeps the menu in its ongoing state of renewal. The restaurant uses locally grown ingredients to craft unique small plates, sandwiches and salads. Owner Brian Lewis, who lives in nearby Collier Hills, has done a remarkable job of crafting a space that is trendy and environmentally responsible at once. Those neat, industrial-looking wine racks behind the bar are made from cardboard tubing and a single shade of steel-gray paint. Most of the seating is in blond wood, as are the tables, all of which is suitable for a space whose previous incarnation was a woodworking shop. Bocado has a limited number of parking slots in front and additional lot parking in the middle of the block just north of the restaurant.
