The Bartow County Landfill is comprised of an area of more than 300 acres. It accepts a variety of construction and demolition material, including lumber, windows, doors, gutters, sheetrock, plumbing fixtures, and heating, ventilation and air conditioning components, as well as roofing, flooring and siding items. The landfill is recognized by state agencies as one of the best municipal landfills in the state of Georgia. The Bartow County Landfill is operated by the Department of Solid Waste that has a staff of over 60 employees and oversees a fleet of nearly 10 roll-off trucks, as well as maintains several landfill trash compactors and earthmoving vehicles. The Bartow County Landfill is located in Cartersville, Ga.
