Serving Bartow County residents for minimal and some adjusted fees, the Bartow County Health Department offers a variety of health services, including sick visits, physicals and maintenance exams; testing, screenings and checks; and immunizations. The agency employs nurses, lab technicians, nutritionists, interpreters and administrative staff. It also administers the local Women, Infants and Children assistance program, commonly referred to as WIC. The Environmental Health Department, also located in this building, permits and inspects food service facilities, swimming pools, on-site waste management systems (septic tanks), and hotels, motels, and tourist facilities.
