It was first started by Walter Anderson Sr. in Tennessee to offer quality maintenance supplies to the Industrial marketplace of manufacturers. In Tennessee Walter Sr. was employed by a Manufacturerâ€™s Rep firm to oversee and grow the companyâ€™s sales of commercial and industrial supply products. In 1975 Walter Sr. came to Atlanta, GA from Tennessee to work for the Rep firm that would further develop his know how to eventually go into business for himself. So, in 1975, Walter Sr. created his own business, Dixie Industrial Corporation and began calling on area Industrial accounts to purchase the Industrial Equipment that he was selling. His wife Marlene was by his side, handling calls, replacement parts, and doing the bookkeeping. His son Walter Anderson Jr., currently our President, has been working for the company since 1985.
