Founded in 1988, Augusta Preparatory Day School is an independent, nonsectarian educational institution that provides academic classes and extracurricular activities to students. It offers educational instruction to more than 550 students in pre-kindergarten through grade twelve. The school conducts classes in history, math, reading, science, English, physics and physical education. It also provides classes in French and Spanish. Augusta Preparatory Day School supports activities, such as band, chorus, music and ceramic arts. It manages a learning support center that provides academic tutoring options. The school organizes a range of athletic activities that includes volleyball, football, baseball, basketball, soccer and tennis. It also sponsors golf tournaments, carnivals and art fests. Augusta Preparatory Day School is a member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, National Association of Independent Schools, and Georgia Independent Schools Association.
