Belinda Marcus, MD
Dr. Belinda Marcus, MD, FACEP, CWS, PCHM is a seasoned clinician and medical director. Her experience within medicine spans the spectrum from research and teaching to everyday clinical practice. Her scientific endeavors began with bench research at Merck & Co. as a college student at University of Pennsylvania and has since included a multi-center prospective trial, case studies and peer-reviewed publications within the realm of wound care. Her medical career began at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her residency in emergency medicine at the University of Cincinnati. She moved to Atlanta in 2000 for an assistant professor position at Emory University, where she brought emergency uses of ultrasound to Grady Hospital for faculty development, resident education, and the overall advancement of clinical emergency medicine. In 2003, she immersed herself into the world of hyperbaric medicine and wound care. Over the last 19 years, she has continued to explore new technologies within this unique specialty and has lectured extensively on her clinical experiences. She has worked in private practice, hospital-based settings, and a multi-specialty office dedicated to limb salvage. Through it all, her passion and primary focus remains delivering outstanding care to her patients. Her professional goal is to see all patients heal and return to a happier, healthier and improved quality of life. Dr. Marcus is first and foremost a mother to two amazing children and 2 adopted rescue dogs. In her spare time, she enjoys music, traveling, reading and movies.
