Established in 1959, Arlington Christian School opened with 140 students in grades one through nine and a staff of 12 instructors. In 1994, the school was officially chartered as an independent entity and in 2000 moved into a high school hall with eight new classrooms, a computer and science lab and the school office. Although the emphasis on academics is in the fundamentals including language arts, mathematics, science and social studies, a variety of other courses are offered such as drama, psychology and foreign languages. As a commitment to be a Christian school Bible classes are a regular part of its academics. The school provides a variety of sports activities. Arlington is accredited by both state and regional accrediting commissions. Arlington Christian School is located in Fairburn, Ga.
