This hole-in-the-wall antique store is located in Athens' 5 Points neighborhood, beneath Homeplace Gifts and Toys. Like its upstairs neighbor, it is a treasure chest in which one could spend hours exploring. Unlike its neighbor, none of these treasures are from this decade. The store holds an impressive collection of eclectic, unique oddities and genuine antiquities. Peter Thompson, a retired UGA genetics professor, opened the store in 1987. He reports finding around 70% of his inventory from estate auctions and, in particular, Depew's auction house in Buckhead. Thompson collects the whole spectrum of antiques, from rugs and crystal to Roman and Egyptian art.
