ACTION, Inc. was founded with a mission to help families and individuals in Northeast Georgia progress from poverty to self-sufficiency. ACTION stands for Area Committee to Improve Opportunities Now. It helps families overcome crisis situations, secure and maintain jobs and achieve a higher level of education. It provides direct services through offices in ten Northeast Georgia counties.
