Kings County Health Department is responsible for the promotion of the physical, mental, social and environmental health of the residents of Kings County in California. The department has a public health laboratory that provides a range of diagnostic microbiological and immunological examinations in the control of infectious and communicable diseases. Kings County Health Department s lab offers testing for tuberculosis, valley fever, syphilis, Chlamydia and rabies, as well as testing drinking water for coliform bacteria and blood lead testing. The department provides regulations and community education about medical wastes, food safety, recreational health, tattooing and body piercing, solid waste and drinking water safety.
