HistoryShawn O'Malley is a woodworker and artist working and living in Sarasota, FL. Shawn creates beautiful, functional and timeless pieces of furniture from salvage and recycled materials. His specialty furniture focuses on farm tables, benches and occasional tables, among other custom pieces. His rustic and primitive furniture is inspired by a commitment to keep salvage lumber and materials out of landfills, as well as to try to save our quickly vanishing local history. His primary focus is to create functional and beautiful furniture and art which will add to the already long story and history of the materials he is using. In 2012, Shawn added various artists and craftsmen to his working studio to build a creative work environment.SpecialtiesWe are a small group of craftsmen, blacksmiths, painters, folk artists and fine artists. We interact, create and provide collectors with handmade original creations. .
