University of Florida, founded in 1905, offers education to more than 46,000 students annually. It provides courses in several disciplines that include accounting, advertising, astronomy, psychology, economics and environment science. The university also offers programs in history, interior design, management, medicine, pharmacy, sociology, statistics and telecommunication. University of Florida is a member of the Association of American Universities and is home to more than 10 colleges and over 100 research centers. The university is spread over an area of more than 2,000 acres and has residence halls with a capacity of over 7,000 students. University of Florida also offers a variety of extracurricular programs that includes classes on martial arts, dancing, music and foreign languages.
