Its traffic engineering and operations office is comprised of intelligence transportation system, traffic incident management, operations and traffic system sections. The department additionally maintains a construction division that administers contracts for roadway and bridge construction through local construction offices. Headquartered in Tallahassee, Fla., the Florida Department of Transportation maintains an office in Jacksonville, Fla.
