History
The OASIS was establisthed as a subsidiary business under the parent company of SALT concepts, llc in April of 2013. SALT concepts was founded in 2011 by CEO and President Renee C. Steilberg. The Venue also known as the SMITH Residence was purchased as a wedding gift for the son of Mr. Smith who married Henry Flagglers daughter. In 1904 architect J.H. W. Hawkins designed his own residence (now demolished) on the corner of Oak and Stockton Street. A short time later he designed this house next door for his new son-in-law, Augusus V.S. Smith, who was the general counsel for Henry Flagler's F. E. C. Railway. The three story brick and shingle Dutch Colonial house was the same unusaula typle of gambrel roof with cross-pattern gables as 2057 Oak Street (RA-51) abd 1515 Walnut Street (SP103).
