Tampa Bay Steel Corporation is a metal service center in the central Florida region that provides delivery and a large selection of carbon, stainless and other metal products. It also has extensive processing capabilities, including burning, sawing and CNC machining. Tampa Bay Steel was founded by Buck and Eleanor McInnis in 1980 and was incorporated in Hillsborough County, Fla. In March 1983, TBSC purchased the Tampa Service Center from Florida Steel Corporation. The company, which was originally a 13-foot by 13-foot den in the McInnis home, has 180,000 square feet of warehouse space, 4,000 square feet of office space and eight acres of outside storage.
