Specialties
The Taylor County Historical Society Welcome to the home of the Taylor County Historical Society. Since 1971, this dedicated group of local citizens has worked to preserve the history and culture of Taylor County and the many families, communities, and industries that have existed here over the decades. The Society meets regularly to share memories, hear presentations from local historians, and study historical documents and photographs to learn more about our dynamic past. The Historical Society's museum, located in the historic First National Bank building on the courthouse square in downtown Perry, features both research facilities and numerous historical artifacts chronicling Taylor County's heritage. We invite you to explore our home to learn more about who we are and how we can help you learn more about our own piece of the Sunshine State.
