HistoryDouble En Tendu Dance Classes was founded in 2013 by John Wittenborn - he is the Creative Director and Dance Instructor and offers both Adult Ballet and Jazz Classes. Classes are currently given on both the East-Side and West-Side of Fort Lauderdale Mondays through Wednesdays.SpecialtiesDouble En Tendu Dance Classes offers ballet and jazz classes in Fort Lauderdale to adult students of all levels. Classes are given on both the East and West Sides of Fort Lauderdale for your convenience. Beginning each class with therapeutic barre prepares the body for a ballet barre as well as for changing and improving the body's shape. Staying true to the structure of a ballet class, John takes students from piles to turns, jumps and grand allegro with positive reinforcement, making enjoyment a priority. Broadway Jazz classes with John begins with standing stretches & transitions into isolations. After a series of movements for balance & coordination , we move to floor stretches. Simple combinations across the floor become combinations that are used in a final jazz routine.
