My Father taught me how to play chess at the age of nine and I have been playing ever since. My first opportunity to join a chess club was at South Miami Middle School. The coach at the time told me I had the potential of becoming a strong chess player. He invited me to play in a tournament between South Miami Middle and West Miami Middle. I played in the tournament and I tied for first place, propelling me to my lifelong devotion to the game. In high school, I started a chess club. Subsequently, I found out about a local chess club, became a member and eventually the owner asked me to take over the club. He also suggested I start my own chess club. I started my chess club at a local Pizza Hut. We moved locations a few times and ended up at the Kendall Branch Library for several years. Now, I have my own Chess Center which we can provide more chess lessons, tournaments, camps and various activities. This game helps me pass along a tool that children will use for the rest of

We give chess lessons (private and group), family game nights, tournaments, chess and game camps, school chess programs, homeschool chess programs, camp programs. You have the option to come to the chess center located in the Pinecrest area, or have the lessons at your location. For more information call anytime that is convenient for you.
