The State Attorney's Office is responsible for the prevention, protection and reporting of criminal activities. The office handles more than 100,000 felony and misdemeanor cases every year. The State Attorney's Office maintains a work force of over 300 employees. The office s investigations division reviews public corruption complaints filed by police agencies and citizens. The State Attorney's Office s and operates a domestic violence division, as well as handles cases related to family violence. The office is additionally responsible for the prosecution of vice-related crimes in cooperation with local, state and federal agencies. The State Attorney's Office is governed by the state of Florida.
