History
In the 1990s, the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church identified the Lake Nona / Moss Park area to establish a local congregation and subsequently purchased land on Moss Park Road in 1998. Spring of Life UMC was founded in 2002 to reach this area with the message of Jesus Christ. Spring of Life met in the Lake Nona YMCA and Wycliffe Bible Translators before constructing and moving into its own 12,500 square-foot building including a worship space, offices and classrooms in 2007. The first worship service was held in the Moss Park Road building on Oct. 14, 2007. The Early Learning Center (ELC) preschool was also established that year, and the ELC is a primary component of Spring of Life's reputation in the community.
