The concept for spendLO.com was derived from a recent experience one of our local vendors encountered while attempting to upgrade office facilities. As part of the upgrade, the new facility offered expansive on-site storage eliminating the need and costs associated with off-site storage. In the process of planning the move, the need for a local transport vendor to help transfer the office contents came up. After reaching out to several local companies, each with similar questions about the project yet each providing much different pricing, all of which were out of their budget, made them realize there had to be an easier way to shop for a transport vendor. Well, there was, and it became known as spendLO.

spendLO.com is an internet based platform that provides local consumers with the opportunity to post the need for local products or services and the price in which they are willing to pay. Local businesses are provided with the opportunity to bid, at the consumer specified maximum bid price or under, in an effort to service the project. Ultimately the consumer selects from the bids received based on the bid price submitted and the businesses' reputation. In the end the consumer is able to dictate the cost of products or services while helping to promote a strong local economy by working with local businesses.
