In 1996, Muriel Siebert & Company joined with a public company and became what is now Siebert Financial Corporation. This organization provides tax-exempt investment banking and financial advisory services. Established in 1967, Muriel Siebert & Company has been a member of the New York Stock Exchange longer than any other discount brokerage firm. Founder Muriel Siebert was the first woman ever to become a member of the Exchange. Siebert maintains its headquarters in New York with branches in Beverly Hills, Calif., and Boca Raton, Naples, Palm Beach and Surfside, Fla. With a large well-established retail account base, more than 100 employees and revenues greater than $25 million a year, Siebert continues to be in the forefront of change and innovation in the discount brokerage marketplace. The company trades on NASDAQ under the symbol SIEB.
