History
I have studied violin and performed over 40 years. I grew up and was trained in Russia, Lvov Conservatory of Music under Prof. Samuel Amerman who imparted to me perfection of Russian violin methods. I have played the violin in various chamber groups and orchestras in Ukraine & Belarussia. In 1956 I moved to Montreal and attended McGill Faculty of Music. I am a recipient of the first gold medal ever given in Concordia University to an evening student for an overall proficiency in Arts. I have a BA in Sociology and Social Work (Magna Cum Laude). I recently attended FAU Department of Music and studied violin with Prof. Rebecca Lautar. I speak seven languages, amongst them French and Spanish. I am a mother of two married successful children. I came to Florida in 1982 and founded Ruda's Violin Studio in 1987. I have tremendous patience and lifetime experience teaching violin to students of all ages and levels.
