Dean established Perkins Roofing in 1980. He learned to roof from his grandfather. While attending the Ohio State University as a Pre-Med student, he took a summer job in Miami with a roofing company. Caught by the entrepreneurial spirit, Dean remained in South Florida and built his own roofing business.
