Claudius Galenus, better known by his English name Galen, is one of the most accomplished medical researchers in Antiquity. His work in Ancient Rome regarding human physiology remained the gold standard in medicine for over 1000 years, cementing his legacy and laying the foundation for our understanding of the human body today. We celebrate his memory and his achievements, by offering a place of rest for the modern medical community living and working near the University of Florida medical campus.
