OOC Expressway Authority provides procurement and contracting services. The company offers contract services that include general road construction, bridge building and improvements, land building surveys, architectural, engineering, environmental, maintenance and custodial. In order to further stimulate the local economy, it is the policy of the Expressway Authority to provide small and local minority businesses with equal opportunity to participate in the organization's procurement and contracting services. The Florida Legislature created the Orlando-Orange County Expressway Authority in 1963. The Authority's initial focus was construction of a limited-access roadway between Orlando and Brevard County. The company has a future project that intends to widen the entire State Road 408 from Hiawassee Road to State Road 417 (Central Florida GreeneWay).
