National Armed Services & Law Enforcement Memorial Museum is located at 500 Douglas Avenue in Dunedin. This museum is wonderful and has over 4,000 square feet of displays and artifacts that pay tribute to all the armed services and local law enforcement agencies.
The people who run and care for the museum are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable and seem excited to share their knowledge with visitors. Some of the exhibits include "Old Sparky," which is a full-size, exact replica of Florida's electric chair; confiscated whiskey stills from the Florida Department of Alcohol & Tobacco; uniforms; weaponry; and even old military motorcycles to name a few.
A visit to the museum is enlightening, interesting, fun and educational for both children and adults. The purpose of the museum is to provide an educational memorial to honor those who serve or have served in the U.S. Armed Forces or in law enforcement (federal, state and local).
