History
Nancy Forrester, Environmental Artist and Activist I am best known for my Visionary Environment, a Rainforest Installation nicknamed Nancy Forrester's Secret Garden. I taught Earth first principles (protection of soil, air, water, trees and rainforests) from 1993 to 2011. My objective was to save rainforests worldwide and the last undeveloped acre of wooded land in the heart of historic Key West. During that time animals, mostly parrots were abandomed in the garden. Presently, I work with some of these Parrots in my backyard, a small piece of the original garden. I offer Parrot 101 or Storytelling Daily, 10 to11 Daily. 11 AM to 3 PM is self-guided. Parrots are beautiful, intelligent, and highly social. I am an adovate for parrots in the wild and captive. In a perfect world all of them would be flying free. Your admission supports unwanted companion parrots and provides education to the public in the hopes stopping their exploytation. Thank you
