Founded in 2002, the City of Miami Capital Improvements & Transportation is responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring of construction-related capital projects in the city of Miami in Florida. It is also responsible for the financial management of all capital funds. The City of Miami Capital Improvements & Transportation has a staff that includes architects, engineers, procurement and public relations specialists and financial managers who administer the capital improvement program working in concert with other city departments, elected officials, the community, government agencies and stakeholders. Its staff is assisted by industry partners who are leading private sector firms recognized for program, production and construction management expertise. The City of Miami Capital Improvements & Transportation s divisions include production and construction management, procurement and contracts administration, and communications and community outreach.
