History
Each of our programs is created individually with goals and teaching procedures specific to the child's needs. The focus of Verbal Behavior is the acquisition of language and communication while reducing problem behavior. We target skill deficits in requesting, labeling, motor and vocal imitation, visual performance and matching skills, listener responding, conversational skills, social skills and play skills. When beginning our programs, we create a reinforcing environment for the child and gradually introduce program demands. We provide a high level of reinforcement throughout our sessions and break down skills into smaller, teachable behaviors to more effectively teach the child. We offer a preschool preparatory program, social skills groups, toilet training and other programs to complement our one-to-one verbal behavior instruction. Our goal is to assist children in the overall improvement of their way of life by applying behavior analytic principles to learning.
