Founded in 1926, the Maitland Fire/Rescue Department offers fire prevention services to protect lives and property. It provides emergency, nonemergency, urgent care and public health services to residential and business communities. The department has two fire stations and engines, trucks and squads. The Maitland Fire/Rescue Department organizes blood pressure checkups and training classes for senior citizens and children. It offers brochures and pamphlets related to disaster preparedness. The department also conducts fire safety surveys and fire extinguisher classes. In addition, the Maitland Fire/Rescue Department organizes car seat and sharps container exchange programs. Located in Maitland, Fla., the Maitland Fire/Rescue Department is governed by the City of Maitland.
