The First United Methodist Church of Lutz has been a vibrant and active community of faith for 100 years! In 1911, several families gathered for worship as the pioneer congregation and called themselves the United Brethren Church of Lutz. Years later, the church joined with additional members from a nearby local church and became the Evangelical United Brethren Church of Lutz. Growing even stronger, our church had the opportunity to build a wonderful little church near the Lutz train depot and formed what we now know as the First United Methodist Church of Lutz. Under the leadership of our current Pastor, Rev. Rick Cabot, the church has continued to grow in faith and vision. In 2006, we broke ground at 960 Lutz Lake Fern Road and began building our current facility. On December 9th, 2007 the church celebrated it's grand opening with the community and dedicated the beautiful cross that sits atop the church for all of Lutz to see. We are excited to continue celebrating lots of firsts at first, won't you join us? Strong lay leadership, gifted clergy and staff, & loving people have always been the heartbeat of the First United Methodist Church of Lutz. Today, as in the past, First United Methodist Church of Lutz is a congregation of loving and committed people who faithfully live out Christ's commandment to love God and love our neighbors. We invite you to become a part of this congregation where you can "Find your path and share the journey."
