Founded in 1957, Community Service Foundation works with Pinellas County families and individuals to provide healthy living environment, quality of lifestyle, support services and training. Based in Clearwater, Fla., it helps the community residents on the road to self-sufficiency, financial stability and self-respect by providing affordable housing, educational training in homeownership and household budgeting, as well as other housing services. The foundation owns and manages 100 rental units, ranging from one- to three-bedroom multi-apartment complexes to duplexes and single-family homes. The purchase-rehab-resell program creates permanent homeownership opportunities for low to moderate-income families and first-time homebuyers by turning an abandoned home into a suitable home.
