Attorney Burgos received his law degree in 1987 from the Catholic University of Puerto Rico. His experience started in 1987 when he was hired by the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), currently known as USCIS under the Attorney General's National Honor Program. By 1988 Attorney Burgos became a Federal Prosecutor for the INS in the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Later on, in 1990 he also performed as prosecutor for the INS in the states of Florida, New York, Louisiana and Texas. He held this position as a trial attorney for eleven years, representing the United States in deportation proceedings conducted before immigration courts. Attorney Burgos is currently working at his own immigration law firm of Hans Burgos, PA in Coral Gables, FL.
