Arash Rahi
Dr. Arash Rahi holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honors from New York University College of Arts & Science where he studied Biochemistry, Mathematics, and French. As an undergraduate student he was the recipient of several recognitions in chemistry and was selected a Turner Scholar. He attended University of Paris as an exchange student. After completing his undergraduate studies he attended New York University School of Medicine and obtained his degree of Doctor of Medicine. Upon receiving his M.D., Dr. Rahi secured an internship and subsequent residency in Obstetrics at the University of Pennsylvania. His efforts as a member of the ob-gyn department led to a number of recognitions, including several awards in resident education and clinical care. Dr. Rahi then returned to the NYU School of Medicine and continued to hone his abilities with an accredited three-year fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. While there, Dr. Rahi received the National Institutes of Health?s K30 Clinical Research Curriculum Award, which afforded him the opportunity to complete his Master of Science in Clinical Research and Translational Medicine from New York University School of Medicine. Dr. Rahi is board certified in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery. He is also board certified in the field of Obstetrics. His main clinical interests are: prevention and treatment of pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, bladder and bowel dysfunction, minimally invasive surgery, natural body orifice surgery, and advanced vaginal surgery. Dr. Rahi has held faculty positions at University of Pennsylvania, New York University, and New York Medical College. Prior to joining FRMIU he served as the chief of Urogynecology, Female Pelvic Medicine & Robotic Reconstructive Surgery at Westchester Medical Center. Today, Dr. Arash Rahi specializes in Urogynecology and Advanced Minimally Invasive and Robotic Gynecologic Surgery at Florida Robotic and Minimally Invasive Urogynecology (FRMIU) in Coconut Creek, FL. Deeply engaged in his field, he maintains membership with professional affiliations including the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Urogynecologic Society. Dr. Rahi is a 5 year Honoree of the Patient Choice Award as well as the Compassionate Doctor?s Award. He has also been recognized as the recipient of the ?Top Ten? award which recognizes physicians who are consistently given top ratings by their patients. In his free time, Dr. Arash Rahi enjoys hiking, sailing, travelling, motorcycling, and camping. Dr. Rahi also serves his community as a Firefighter, Emergency Medical Services Quality Improvement Chief, NYS Police Surgeon while also serving in the Coast Guard Auxiliary Services.
